Woodlawn Memorial Park’s Spirit Walk

Home / Cemetery in Guelph / Woodlawn Memorial Park’s Spirit Walk

Is there a better way to celebrate a change in season than by enjoying fresh air while strolling through the past?  That’s how many enjoyed the first Sunday of Autumn at the 2018 Spirit Walk on September 23rd hosted by Woodlawn Memorial Park in conjunction with the Guelph Museum.

Woodlawn’s volunteer researchers, Charlotte Mackie and Judy Steele, gather information about each spirit, then each actor is provided with a package of information from which they compose their own script. Dressed in costume, actors tell the story of their spirit to five groups throughout the afternoon.

Each group is guided along the selected route in the cemetery while learning of both local and cemetery history as they stroll from one spirit encounter to another.

More photos of the event can be found on our Facebook page.
